Terms of Service
Last updated 2026-07-03
These terms apply when you use TableHelm. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to them. We have kept them straightforward. If you have questions, email hello@tablehelm.com.
The service
TableHelm is reservation and table management software for restaurants, provided by TableHelm. It includes a free plan and a paid Pro plan, a public booking page for each restaurant, reservation manage pages for diners, and optional no-show protection through Stripe. We may add, change or remove features over time to improve the product.
Your account
You are responsible for keeping your login details secure and for everything that happens under your account, including actions by your staff. Let us know straight away if you think someone else has accessed it.
You must give accurate information when you sign up and keep it up to date, including the booking policies shown to your guests.
Acceptable use
Use the service lawfully and reasonably. Do not use it to break the law, infringe others' rights, send spam, or attempt to disrupt, attack or reverse-engineer the service.
You are responsible for the content and data you put into the service, including your guests' information, and for having the right to use it. Use guest data to run your restaurant, not for purposes your guests would not expect.
Plans and payment
The free plan is free for as long as you use it within its intended scope (one location). The Pro plan is billed monthly at the flat price shown on our pricing page. There are no per-cover fees and no long-term contract.
Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel. You can cancel Pro yourself at any time; you keep Pro features until the end of the current billing period, then drop to the free plan with all your data intact.
Subscription payments are handled by Stripe. Fees charged by your card network or bank are separate from our prices.
No-show fees and card holds
No-show protection runs on your own Stripe account via Stripe Connect. You set the fee, and the booking page discloses it to diners before they confirm. When you charge a no-show fee, 100% of it settles to your Stripe account; Stripe's standard processing fees apply and we add nothing.
You are responsible for charging fees fairly and consistently with the policy you showed the diner at booking, and for complying with the card network rules and laws that apply to you. Disputes and chargebacks over no-show fees are between you, your diner and Stripe.
Your data
The data you create (your guest book, reservations, tables, policies and history) belongs to you. We store and process it to provide the service, as described in our Privacy Policy. We never sell it or share it with other restaurants.
You can export your data to CSV free at any time, and you can close your account whenever you like.
The public booking and manage pages
Your booking page is public by design; you control what appears on it (name, description, policies). Each reservation has a private manage page reachable only by its unique link, which we send to the diner. Keep what you publish accurate, especially cancellation windows and no-show fees.
Availability
We work hard to keep the service running, but we cannot promise it will always be available without interruption. We may carry out maintenance, and occasionally things go wrong. We will do our best to minimise disruption, especially during service hours.
Warranties and liability
The service is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, we do not give warranties beyond those required by law, and our liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
Ending the agreement
You can stop using the service and close your account at any time; export your data first, the export is free. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or the law, and we will give notice where it is reasonable to do so.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will let you know. The "last updated" date above reflects the current version, and continuing to use the service means you accept the updated terms.
